Hooksett, NH -The New Hampshire Junior Monarchs are pleased to announce that forward Zak Stone will be a Northeastern University Husky this coming fall.
Stone has been all over the radar of a number of Division 1 colleges this season, due to the success he has had thus far. He solidified his spot between young guns Trent Ruffolo and Alex Gacek the first weekend of the season and the three have clicked as linemates ever since. Zak has been a great compliment as a linemate, as he can play at a high offensive level, but he can also add that important physical aspect to a line and free up more space for himself and his wings.
Stone is currently 2nd on the team in scoring and goals. His consistent play in all three zones has been a big reason why the team has sat atop the Northern Division standings the entire season. Although he doesn’t wear a letter on his sweater, Zak has been a leader by example on and off the ice. His dedication to off-ice workouts has obviously paid dividends in regards to his on-ice performance. Zak will undoubtedly continue that level of performance as the season heads into the home stretch.
Zak is the son of Carolyn and Lenny Stone of Roslyn, NY.
