Mitch Shaheen reached his 100th career point in a Monarchs jersey on Friday (2/8) vs the New Jersey Rockets. Shaheens Monarchs career began during the 2015-2016 season with the U18 team where he tallied 8 points in the EJEPL and 11 points in the ECEL. In the 2016-2017 season Shaheen put up 30 points in the EHL, 22 points in 2017-2018 playing in the USPHL Premier league followed by a total of 29 points during this season at the NCDC level. Mitch passed his brother, Cam’s point record (61 points in 2 seasons, 2013-2015) with an assist on Chris Lee’s OT GWG. Coach Frew said, “Shaheen assisted on a skilled, beautiful game winning goal in OT for a 2-1 ‘Narchs win.” He continued, “He’s a hard-working player whose earned everything he’s gotten. Well-deserved kid.”
Congratulations to Mitch and we wish him a successful rest of the season.
