Hooksett, NH -The New Hampshire Junior Monarchs continued to score at a feverish pace this past week as they defeated the Valley Jr. Warriors by a score of 8-1, and the Philadelphia Revolution by scores of 5-1 and 11-0.
In a mid-week road contest the team travelled to the Haverhill Valley Forum to take on a Warriors team that had just defeated two of the top teams in the league with wins over the Bay State Breakers and South Shore Kings. With 49 shots on net the team would march to an 8-1 victory with big games from Pat Doherty and Peter DeAngelo who each had 4 points in the game. Other notable scorers were Alex Gacek and Jamie Ferullo who both had 3 points apiece.
Over the weekend, the Monarchs would host league newcomers the Philadelphia Revolution in two games at Tri-Town Arena. The first game would be a victory for the Monarchs as they would win 5-1 and outshoot the Revolution 48-16. Cody Sharib, Alex Gacek, and Aaron Kesselman would each have 2 points apiece in the win.
Game 2 Sunday afternoon would be all Monarchs, as the team would score just 1:19 into the game when Jamie Ferullo would score an unassisted goal off of a great individual effort. The Monarchs would go on to score 10 more times in an 11-0 rout of the Revolution. They would outshoot their opponents 72-25 and have 7 multi-point games, including a 2 goal 3 assist performance by Pat Kiley.
The team will be back in action again this weekend when they face the Huskies, Pics, and the South Shore Kings at the Haverhill Valley Forum in the Valley Jr. Warriors Showcase this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
