Mangene to Maine

The New Hampshire Junior Monarchs are very pleased to announce that Matt Mangene, tadalafil a forward from Manorville, NY has committed to the University of Maine for the 2009 season. Mangene is the fourth Monarch to commit to an NCAA Division 1 program this season, and the sixth overall.

“I cannot wait to put on the Black Bear jersey and play for such a historic and successful program”, stated Mangene. In 22 games this season, Mangene has 20 points with 9 goals and 11 assists. That places him third on the team in scoring. What is most impressive though about Mangene’s offensive statistics is that 2 of his 5 multi-point games have come in contests against the best teams in the EJHL. He had 1 goal and 3 assists earlier this season in a 5-5 come-from-behind tie with the league leading NJ Hitmen, and most recently he notched a goal and an assist against the Syracuse Stars to help the Monarchs overtake them for first place in the Northern Division.

Mangene played last season with the South Shore Junior Kings before coming north to play for the Monarchs this year. Matt went on to say that, “it has always been my dream to play Division 1 hockey, and I cannot thank my family, my trainer Aleksey Nikiforov, Coach Tremblay, and Coach Dennehy enough for all that they have done for me through the years.”

Matt is the son of David and Shellie Mangene, and his sister Meagan is also a Division 1 prospect who has played for the US Women’s U18 Team.
