Lemay commits to Saint Anselm

The NH Jr. Monarchs are proud to announce that 1998 Forward Chris Lemay from Salem, NH has committed to playing college hockey at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown, NH for the 2019-2020 season. Lemay will study either business or finance with the school. When asked what made him choose Saint A’s, Lemay said, “I just loved the campus and it reminded me a lot of where I went to prep school.”

Lemay was announced Captain of the NCDC team and had 1 point in 6 games before suffering a season ending injury. Lemay says junior hockey has taught him, “how important it is for a team to get along and buy into the culture and systems that the coaches have in place.” He goes on to say that, “It’s the difference in who is successful and who isn’t.” Regarding the injury, Lemay says, “I have a long road ahead of me and it’s going to be tough not playing for such a long time. I’m really just looking forward to getting back on the ice and being healthy again.”

The organization wishes Chris the best of luck in his recovery and look forward to watching him continue his hockey and academic career just up the road.
