Giroux commits to Endicott

The NH Jr. Monarchs are proud to announce that 1999 Defensemen Matt Giroux of Bedford, NH has committed to Endicott College for the 2019-2020 season. Giroux says he chose Endicott because of how impressed he was by the updated facilities. Location was also a huge factor for him, “it was very nice to see the campus so close to Boston as internships and job opportunities may come up with the city being so close by.” Giroux adds, “I’m really excited about the business school at Endicott.”

Giroux currently has 5 points in 37 games played this season. He explains, “I owe every opportunity I have received since my first year with the Monarchs U18 team to the dedication and passion that the coaches and staff in the organization has for their players.” Giroux continued, “I have learned so much about hard work and the game of hockey throughout these years and am very fortunate to have played for this organization the whole way.” Giroux says he has made countless friends and is thankful junior hockey pushed him into maturity and professionalism.

Giroux has played with the Monarchs organization for 3 seasons and we would like to wish him the best as he prepares for college!
